Competing in the Miss Black USA Pageant was a defining moment in my artistry because I won. Soon after I decided, "I'm about this life" and took my first comedy class with Judy Gold, who encouraged me to perform stand up. I've shared this funny light of mine on stages, red carpets and starring and writing film projects. When I'm not writing & performing, I'm taste-testing pizza around the globe.
nicole’s daily routine:
“Wake. Yoga stretches. Morning Pages. Occasional sativa ceremony. Embark on my workday, which consists of everything from production meetings, calls, writing sessions, yoga class, acting class, writing class and a legitimate attempt to stay sane in LA traffic.”
How did you become ____.
“I became an Artist at birth. For as long as I can remember I’ve been an Expressionist in various mediums. First there was fashion, followed by dance, twirling, cheerleading, pageantry and eventually comedy, acting and writing.”
nicole’s self-care routine:
“Journaling has been my main squeeze since I was 9. Therapy with my black lady therapist has been my saving grace, my peace, my clarity, and ultimately has allowed me to amplify my actions confidently. Yoga kicks my ass, but I always live to tell someone about. I paint unflattering blind contours. My fav, engaging in both ratchet and wholistic activities with my friends.”
