jess's daily routine:

"I start my mornings at around 7 am & do a daily gratitude tweet. Life is too short to be ungrateful. I still put on makeup & get dressed for the day. Life is also too short to not play dress up. I've gotten into cooking all three meals of the day, which usually means prepping in between meetings. FaceTime dates with the fam back East help keep me connected. My evenings are kicked off by taking off my bra & enjoying a warm meal while reading (currently on Attached by Dr. Amir Levine & Rachel SF Heller, MA). Laughter by way of an episode of The Office or a House Party date with my co work crew, followed by a hot shower closes out the day.”

on getting started in her career:

"I built my career in advertising by learning the operational components. As a consumer, I was fascinated by packaging, TV spots, the beautiful end result of a campaign. It wasn't enough to enjoy the sausage on my plate, I wanted to learn how the sausage was made. Great mentors + my natural nosiness have been key factors to my success in the last 9 years. By contrast, my journey in comedy/storytelling is in its infancy and I'm nurturing it with the same tactics.”

jess’s self-care routine:

“Floral arrangements, bubble baths, candles + sleep. Making arrangements for my apartment is one of my favorite forms of therapy. Soaking in a hot bath melts the stress away and if I could, I’d spend my entire check on smell goods. I don't subscribe to the “sleep when you die” tribe. If I don’t sleep, I will die so a solid 7 hours a night is a must.”
